We have seven meeting rooms in Vancouver’s West End available. Auditorium
Spacious and versatile, the Auditorium is perfect for large gatherings, performances, and corporate events. With a flexible layout, it can accommodate a variety of setups, from conferences and presentations to social functions and celebrations. Bidwell Room
Bright and inviting, the Bidwell Room is a fantastic choice for medium-sized events, seminars, and community meetings. With ample space for up to 40 people, it’s ideal for group discussions, networking events, and interactive workshops. Its versatile layout allows for various seating arrangements, making it adaptable to your needs.

Meeting Room
Perfect for small group discussions, brainstorming sessions, or private meetings, this bright and inviting room comfortably accommodates up to 15 people. With natural light and a professional setting, it’s ideal for productive and focused gatherings.

Rate: $35 per hour
Denman Room
With its larger capacity, the Denman Room is great for hosting workshops, community gatherings, and special events. Its open space can accommodate different event formats, from lecture-style setups to hands-on activities. This room has a sink and a fridge, ideal for events with catering. Whether you’re planning a cultural event or a business meeting, this room offers both comfort and flexibility.

Stanley Court
For smaller meetings and workshops, Stanley Court offers a comfortable and intimate setting. The space is well-suited for brainstorming sessions, team discussions, or small group activities. Its cozy atmosphere makes it a great choice for productive gatherings that require focus and collaboration.

English Bay Room
Perfect for classes, workshops, and group activities, the English Bay Room offers an engaging setting. Its open space makes it suitable for educational sessions, creative projects, and small social gatherings. Whether you’re leading a hands-on activity or hosting a casual meetup, this room provides a welcoming environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can rent rooms?
Anyone can rent rooms (based on availability) as long as no admission fee is charged. Sale or promotion of goods, services, religious beliefs or political beliefs is prohibited without written permission from the Recreation Supervisor.
Can I Serve Alcohol
Alcohol may be served with a valid liquor license and a Serving It Right certificate. Visit Serving it Right for more information. Please note, Liquor License and Serving it Right Certificate must be submitted two weeks prior to the rental date.
Can I serve food?
Yes, you can serve food. We do not have full kitchen amenities for food preparation. Personal catering can be brought in.
What equipment is available?
Tables and chairs are available upon request. Please discuss your equipment needs with the rental coordinator at time of booking.
Can I promote my event using the West End Community Centre name?
Not without specific written permission from WECC. Promotional material may refer to the centre as “A rented community hall at 870 Denman St.”
How do I rent a room?
Rental requests must be submitted a minimum of seven (7) days in advance. Once you have determined your rental needs, phone or email the rental coordinator with the details. We strongly recommend you see the facilities in person before entering into a rental agreement. Read all regulations on the back of the contract before signing. You may pay by Visa, MasterCard, debit card, cash or cheque (if paying by cheque, allow 10 working days for bank clearance prior to the rental). The rental is not confirmed until full payment is received. Full payment and a signed rental agreement is required within seven (7) days of the booking confirmation email. The rental is only finalized once both have been received.
Please Note:
All room capacities are based on standing room only of total area. Please consider this if your event requires equipment such as tables and chairs.
Set up and clean up of the room is the responsibility of the renter and must be completed within the scheduled rental period.
We recommend that you assess the room in person and review all rental regulations on the rental agreement prior to signing.

Any extra staff costs incurred by the renter will be levied at $29.71/hr. This includes, but is not limited to: Building supervision beyond regular hours of operation, extra building supervision required during hours of operation, extra clean up required after.
The minimum staff charge is two (2) hours if use of the facility falls outside of regular operating hours.
A $200 or $500 damage deposit may apply depending on the scope of your rental event.
The federal government requires us to collect SOCAN fees if pre-recorded music is played. SOCAN: $22.06 – $63.49 + tax (based on room capacity). Re:Sound: $9.25 – $26.63 + tax (based on room capacity)
Rentals are not confirmed until full payment is received and rental agreement signed.
