Little Sprout Preschool
Our Philosophy
West End Community Centre Association strives to provide high quality, accessible child care to children and families in the community. We are committed to providing a program that respects the specific needs of the child, and we honour each child’s right to grow and develop at his or her own rate. Our goal is to assist children as they interact with each other and the world around them so that they grow to become healthy, caring, and responsible persons. We value and celebrate diversity and promote the development of skills such as problem solving, tolerance and teamwork.
Program Description
At Little Sprout Preschool, we offer a wonderful and fun ‘Learning Through Play’ program for 3- to 5-year-old children. We provide many opportunities for your child to learn social skills through playing with other children and by developing an awareness of the community around them. Our enriched preschool program fosters growth in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, and creative. The preschool room is set up daily with interesting art activities, puzzles, building toys, water or play-dough table, house area, block area, discovery table and much more!
Our program is based on structured and non-structured activity, which allows your child to make individual choices and experience group activities. As your child’s first school experience is an important one, we strive to make ‘learning’ fun!
Little Sprout Preschool is a licensed preschool. Our instructors are fully qualified Early Childhood Educators bringing many years of experience to our preschool program.
The program runs September to June, on the same schedule as the public school system. We are closed for all statutory and public school holidays, as well as professional development days.
