Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines music, self-defense, dance, acrobatics and physical conditioning to create a unique, multidisciplinary experience. Capoeira is one of the most inherently diverse martial arts that teaches creativity, music, self-expression, and strategic thinking as much a part of the core curriculum as physical training. This course will introduce everyone to the fundamentals of the art form, will teach basic kicks, movements, acrobatics, as well as cover basic music skills and history of capoeira. Drop in $18, space permitting. Siblings attend at a 25% discount (but must register in person). No session Mar 19.
