“Try it Out” Open Mic

October-21 to December-16, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

West End Community Centre Programs Vancouver BC Canada

Crawl out of your covid cave and come on over to Barclay Manor for a totally spontaneous, sometimes silly and sometimes heartfelt evening of entertainment offered by YOU and/or your neighbours! The Try It Out Open Mic Coffeehouse is a free, monthly gathering held in the lovely Victorian parlour at Barclay Manor. Sign up is at 6:30 pm. Everyone gets 10 – 15 minutes (approximately three songs) depending on the size of the group. This is a time to share music, stories, poems, comedy, interpretive dance, magic etc., etc. or just listen! Open to all ages and abilities. (Children are encouraged to share in the first 45 minutes so more ?grown up? material can be presented later on.) The Try it Out Open Mic is a friendly and supportive environment where everyone can “try out” ideas and projects. Over the years we have seen first time performers as young as two and seasoned performers who are – well – ageless! Come to listen or share. FREE!
