Pint-Sized Pumpkin Carving – Fall 2016

The Coal Harbour Community Centre is hosting our 10th annual Pint-Sized Pumpkin Carving event! Get into the spooky spirit as you carve your own jack-o-lantern. We will supply some carving tools and ghoulish music and don’t forget to wear your costume. Parent participation is required. Please pre register so we can ensure we have enough pumpkins. ($5/pumpkin, $7/pumpkin on the day-of event).

Halloween Murder Mystery 2016

Ghouls, Goblins monsters of mayhem and mystery invade Barclay Manor this hallowed eve. Welcome to the brave as murder mystery taunts the Halloween sleuths this October. A body drained of blood was found in the night time garden and very suspicious characters gather in the Barclay Manor’s rooms for skulduggery and intrigue. One murder will be committed again and only YOU can try to catch the evil doer. Bags of goodies, delicious treats to munch on with cauldrons of prizes.A superb Agatha Christie English drawing room mystery.

Flea Market – Fall 2016

Funds raised from all flea markets go to the WECC Youth Programs and the King George Secondary School Grad Committee. The flea market is held in the West End Community Centre’s auditorium. Tables go on sale Saturday, October 1. Registration in person at WECC only.

Holiday Craft Fair – Winter 2016
November 19th and 20th, 2016
This is an annual sell-out event you won’t want to miss! We welcome ONLY handcrafted items to be sold at this event. Line up early for the best table selection. Pick up a vendor info guideline package and vendor contract at the front office. Although this is a non-juried event, we have a limit of 55 tables each day to sell original crafted items only by Artisan crafts. Tables go on sale September 24 at 10:00am. Admission to the Fair is free. Please note: The West End Community Centre reserves the right to ask a vendor to leave or remove articles that do not comply with the Craft Fair protocols and contract. We can revoke an individual’s privilege to participate in future events if the Holiday Craft Fair outlined polices are not respected.

WECCA Fall 2016 Program Guide
The WECCA Fall 2016 Recreation Guide is Here!
All of the Fall months’ programs for the West End Community Centre, Coal Harbour Community Centre, and Barclay Manor have been announced. Popular programs for adults like the West End Indoor Cycling and Flower Arranging will be making a return, while some fun and new programs are being introduced. We are also adding more children’s programs at both West End and Coal Harbour Community Centres.
Registration for our Fall Programs opens on Monday, August 15 9:00am (online/in-person) and Tuesday, August 16 9:00am (phone-in). You can register for programs online at the City of Vancouver website. Be sure to register early as many programs will fill up fast. Registration is required for most programs as they need a minimum enrolment to run. If there is not enough interest in the program, it will either be cancelled or postponed prior to the first class.
