as an expressive and vibrant medium.
You will learn how to use the brushes to
achieve a variety of techniques including
blending, glazing, lifting, wet on wet
and over dry to create different textures
and brush strokes on your artwork.
We will focus on beautiful landscapes,
flowers and figures. Instructor profile:
Mohammad Atashzad has over 30 years
experience in teaching, drawing and
painting at his own Atashzad Academy
of Art. He has published more than 500
watercolour paintings in colour such
as greeting cards, posters, albums and

Awards range from $500 to $1000 and recognize different strengths including academics, athletics, and community involvement. More details can be found in the application.

We are so excited to announce the release of the WECCA Winter 2018 Recreation Guide. We have a ton of great new and returning programs for you at all three centres. Explore the guide or download your copy. Whether you’re looking for activities at Barclay Manor, Coal Harbour, or West End, we have something for everyone. We will also be hosting a whole bunch of events throughout the winter, so stay tuned for those!

Be sure to register for classes early as space is limited and they do fill up fast.

Registration starts online Tuesday, December 12 at 9am and by phone on Wednesday, December 13 at 9am. You can register at recreation.vancouver.ca
